You can't help but laugh at people who cannot see the truth, even when it's right in front of them.  For example, on the same day that the news broke about California's independence from gasoline, news stories started popping up about how the people of that state were coping with energy shortages.  Do I need to explain the irony, here?

Today, I read this:

California's tough gun laws have made the state safer than the rest of the country

And following right on that story's heels, this:

California rocked by third mass shooting in three days as one killed and seven injured in Oakland

All I can do is sit here, shaking my head.
